Dana Flores
Los Angeles-based Sculptural Artist
Dana Flores, a native Californian, is a self-taught sculptor and jeweler who embarked on her ceramics journey in 1993 at the Potters Studio in West Los Angeles. She has traveled through Central and South America and draws inspiration from the natural beauty and rich history of Mayan temples with their ancient stone carvings, volcanos, jungle plants, and the rustic stoneware in Guatemalan villages became integral to her work. Her works range from large-scale earth-based sculpture and assemblage to intimate works of jewelry.
